Los lápices de colores para artistas Polychromos están compuestos de aceite vegetal, cera y pigmentos de la más alta calidad con características superiores de resistencia a la luz y brillo. Se utilizan cantidades mínimas de cera para que no se produzca ninguna floración cerosa. Los lápices no contienen ácidos, son resistentes al agua y no se corren. No se utilizan pigmentos nocivos. Todos los productos están certificados como no tóxicos por un toxicólogo certificado. Los lápices tienen forma redonda, contienen minas gruesas de 3,8 mm y están alojados en madera de cedro de primera calidad.
